A graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Jefferson Medical College, Marvin E. Lawrence, M.D., completed his internal medicine residency and fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Lawrence takes a holistic view towards treating his patients and understands that teaching patients about their illness is just as important as treating them. An active member of the community Dr. Lawrence is involved in many community and charitable organizations. His professional interests include Biliary disorders, diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory disease as well as management of functional gastrointestinal disorders. He also serves as chief of gastroenterology at Laurel Regional Hospital.
